We had a problem with version 1.0 of JRuby the other day so we popped onto the #jruby irc channel to ask a question or two. Turns out there was a bug in file uploading. We submitted a test case that worked in regular (C) ruby and failed in JRuby. Would you believe that Charles Oliver Nutter and a few other members of the core team dropped what they were doing to pitch in and fix the bug.
My most sincere thanks goes off to this top-notch team. First they stepped up and finished the incomplete JRuby -- bringing it up to a fantastic 1.0 product in no time. Then to have this kind of support from them (and Sun!) is just unbelievable.
